MY BELIEFS

(By Jafira)

You know, by now you may have noticed that I am vehemently anti-Christian, as well against the government, and authority, and practically anything else that is important to a stable society, your probably thinking to yourself, is Jafira some kind of santanic lunatic anarchist?! Well, the answer is no, and I am going to lay down my beliefs right here so that there is no more further conflict. I live in a town where there is a church on every block, I'm surrounded by religious people, however I myself have seldom ever stepped foot in a church, rather I would prefer to read a religous text at home or in the wilderness without somebody telling me what God was trying to say in this or that verse, and if you yourself do that, you may discover that the bible is different from what they tell you in church.

As for myself, If and when I read said bible, I only focus on the words in red and toss out the entire remainder of the book, because in my opinion the rest is irrelevant. The bible has been used to oppress cultures and minds for centuries and I will have none of that. When you look at all the atrocities and cultural setbacks caused by religious zealots you will see what I mean, the fall of nearly all the American continents original cultures, the destruction of ancient ruins, burning of numerous ancient libraries, the Spanish inquisition, centuries of witch burnings, continually holding back science, failure to accept a variety of changing ideas, discrimination, cultural differences, burning and disdain of the heretics, and so on. However, you learn quite quickly that if you throw out everything but the red letters, the bible becomes less possible to use as a weapon or destructive tool, so that's exactly what I did.

Furthermore you quickly learn that if you only go by the red letters, many so called Christians are continuously going against the teachings of their lord, it opens your eyes, the rest is meaningless. I am angry at the church's, dogma, abuse of religion, discrimination, and bigotry, not Christianity or individual christians, merely the hardcore fundamentalists who are destroying their own religion and driving my and future generations away. So that is why I rant so much about religon, I feel strongly that many of the hardcore fundamentalists are hypocrites, as well, in my honest opinion the only way to follow a literal interpretation of the bible is to become Amish which most in todays society would never think to consider.

I believe that there are many ways to heaven, I promote christianity, mormonism, Buddhism, native american beliefs, Wicca, Otherkinism, and so on, as well I consider myself to be primarily New Age in my own beliefs. I strongly believe that Christ died for everyone who will live a good life in knowledge of his sacrifice. I believe in multiple interpretations of the bible, rather then a single lone interpretation which can be used to blackmail or fear monger faith and acceptance. My goal is to live a good life, follow the words in red and slow the spread of the virus that is dogma.

(PS: Scientology is not included in any of the beliefs that I promote, as scientology appears to be a financial cult. Praise Zennu!)

If your religion discriminates in any way under the grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, love, or the support of peace among man, then it is likely wrong, because as I see it, the creator of this universe is a being of love, not discrimination, if you choose to believe, then read your scriptures without someone else telling you what it means. Learn for yourself and interpret on your own. If nothing else, here is my interpretation of faith.
