People Against Dragon Items

(By Jafira)

Okay, as you can probably already guess from this site, I have an extreme love for dragons and I don't expect people to share the same like for dragons that I have. But, over the past year I've been subject to many attacks at my love for dragons which is why I have decided to write this rant, and create the page in general.

The first and most common attack against my love of dragons is when people make unnecessary remarks about me wearing shirts that portray a dragon emblem or graphic. Remarks like: dragons again?" or "what does the dragon mean?" and "what do those shirts say about your character". I am sometimes even asked to change my shirt because it supposedly offends people. Now, when I asked why these people want me to stop wearing dragons, they pretty much stated that the shirts portray dragons which are supposed to be "evil" another answer was that "would cause people to affiliate me with the dark arts".

My response is: The shirts cannot portray evil because they are just pieces of art imprinted on to a T-shirt mass produced in a factory. If my shirt is evil because of a graphic then wouldn't all other shirts mass produced in a factory be evil? How can a graphic of a dragon be evil?

So then they (they being whoever is remarking against said shirt) go and ask "why wear a shirt portraying a creature that doesn't exist" and I just repeat myself, if a dragon does not exist and this is just a random graphic like any other fictional drawing on a shirt why are you complaining about it? Mickey mouse does not exist but if he appears on a shirt it is acceptable? There is no difference because it's just a picture.

So, then any attacks against my dragon themed shirts are only an attack at a "silly imaginary creature" and are completely illogical. Until somebody can explain to me in a logical way how a shirt portraying a dragon can symbolize "evil" or something else that could cause society to be against me, any attacks against my or anyone else's shirts are just a display of ignorance.
